Porto Cesareo |
As my days in Giuggianello are coming to an end, my friends were holding a surprise for the last night. We (and another 30 people) rented a boat in Porto Cesareo, sailed outside of the port and had a party.

The boat |
When I first saw the boat, I must admit that I thought "well, that's a little boat".
But I was wrong.

Antonio, the heart and soul of any party in Salento |
So, the party started immediately after we sailed off. No "waiting to drink a few beers" or "wait untill we get offshore". Right away, party time. And yeah, Salento people know how to party. The last week proved me so.

Happy faces... |

What would a boat party be without night swimming?
Well, if you ask me, it would be a boat party without night swimming.
So, you guessed it. Night swimming time.

After a while, things started to get a bit out of hand (as in any party worth remembering).
Antonio, the heart and soul of any party in Salento, was dancing really hard and the result was this:

At first I was a little worried about him, but after getting some medical first aid, he started dancing again. For sure, takes the pain away.

I got no words to describe this |

Ugliness has just reached new levels |
On board was a local MC, Bonina from Jonio Posse Soundsystem. He performed a song about the Ionian sea and his life in this place.
Around 01:00 the captain of the boat started sailing back to Porto Cesareo. After hours of dancing and drinking we couldn't continue to another place. Besides that, it was Sunday and many people had to work the next day. F U Monday.
